Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 28 April 2026

Terms and Conditions Privacy Cookies Accessibility
This English version is provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Romanian version — Declaratie de Accesibilitate (Romanian) — prevails.

1. Commitment

GALIAN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SRL is committed to making the cursuri-ai.ro platform accessible in accordance with:

  • Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services (the European Accessibility Act — EAA), applicable since 28 June 2025.
  • Romanian Law 232/2022 on ensuring the accessibility of products and services (transposition of the EAA into Romanian law).
  • Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 — accessibility requirements for ICT products and services.
  • WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), level AA — recommended by the European standard.

This statement applies to the content of the public pages of cursuri-ai.ro and to the authenticated platform at cursuri-ai.ro/app.

2. Compliance Status

The platform is fully compliant with the EN 301 549 V3.2.1 standard and WCAG 2.1 level AA, based on the self-assessment carried out on the date of the last update.

3. Content Outside the Scope of the EAA

The following content, although accessible from the Platform, does not fall within the scope of this statement because it is provided by third parties subject to their own accessibility statements:

  • The Stripe Customer Portal (subscription management): accessibility is the responsibility of Stripe Inc. — see the official Stripe statement.
  • Archived legal documents (previous versions of the Terms) are available on request by email at contact@cursuri-ai.ro in an accessible format (HTML, .docx).

We do not currently invoke any exception on grounds of "disproportionate burden" (Art. 14 of Law 232/2022).

4. Implemented Features

The following accessibility features are active across the entire platform:

4.1. Perceivability (WCAG 1.x)

  • Page language declared (lang="ro") on all pages (WCAG 3.1.1).
  • Colour contrast ≥ 4.5:1 for normal text and ≥ 3:1 for large text (WCAG 1.4.3, AA). The brand colour used for text is #7c3aed (contrast ratio 5.5:1 on white).
  • Decorative images marked with alt="" + aria-hidden="true" so they are ignored by screen readers (WCAG 1.1.1).
  • Informational images have descriptive alternative text (WCAG 1.1.1).
  • Decorative SVG icons carry the aria-hidden="true" attribute.
  • Content resizable up to 200% without loss of information (WCAG 1.4.4).

4.2. Operability (WCAG 2.x)

  • Full keyboard navigation: all interactive elements are reachable via Tab and Shift+Tab (WCAG 2.1.1).
  • Visible focus indicator on all interactive elements (WCAG 2.4.7).
  • "Skip to main content" link at the beginning of every page, visible on focus (WCAG 2.4.1).
  • Semantic HTML5 structure: <header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>, <article>, <section> used consistently (WCAG 1.3.1).
  • Hierarchical headings (h1 → h2 → h3) used logically (WCAG 1.3.1, 2.4.6).
  • Links and buttons with an accessible name (WCAG 2.4.4, 4.1.2).

4.3. Understandability (WCAG 3.x)

  • Labels for all form fields: a <label> is associated with every input via for (WCAG 3.3.2).
  • Error messages announced by screen readers: validation errors use role="alert", and success messages use role="status" (WCAG 3.3.1, 4.1.3).
  • Error indications conveyed in text, not by colour alone (WCAG 1.4.1, 3.3.1).
  • autocomplete attributes set on the relevant fields (WCAG 1.3.5).

4.4. Robustness (WCAG 4.x)

  • Valid, parsable HTML (WCAG 4.1.1).
  • ARIA attributes applied correctly: aria-label, aria-labelledby, aria-describedby, aria-hidden, role (WCAG 4.1.2).
  • Live regions for dynamic content: the chat with the Virtual AI Professor uses role="log" + aria-live="polite", so responses are automatically announced by screen readers (WCAG 4.1.3).
  • Loading indicators use role="status" to announce state without interrupting the user (WCAG 4.1.3).

4.5. Screen Reader Compatibility

Critical functionality (authentication, course navigation, lesson viewing, subscribing) has been tested with:

  • NVDA 2024.x on Windows + the Chrome and Firefox browsers.
  • VoiceOver on macOS + Safari.
  • TalkBack on Android (the mobile application — installable as a PWA or native).

5. Preparation of This Statement

This statement was prepared on 28 April 2026 through an internal self-assessment carried out by the Cursuri AI team in accordance with Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1523. Method used:

  • Automated testing with axe DevTools and Lighthouse (Accessibility category) on representative pages.
  • Manual screen reader testing (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS) on the critical flows.
  • Keyboard-only testing for the registration, subscription and learning flows.
  • Colour contrast verification with the WebAIM Contrast Checker.
  • Semantic structure verification with the Web Developer Toolbar.

The statement will be reviewed upon every significant change to the platform and at least annually.

6. Feedback and Contact Details

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our platform or need information in an alternative format, please contact us:

  • Website: anpc.ro
  • Email: office@anpc.ro

8. Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continuously improving the accessibility of the platform:

  • All new features are tested for accessibility before release.
  • Automated monitoring with axe-core integrated into the testing pipeline to prevent regressions.
  • The development team applies and periodically reviews the WCAG and ARIA principles.
  • User feedback is treated as a priority — every reported barrier is analysed and resolved.
